Yod is vibrated as I (e). The sound is sustained on the breath until the body carries the frequency by itself.
Fire — chakra & colour
Yod lights the root chakra in orange. The colour grows brighter the longer the letter is vibrated.
Water — the sensation
The felt quality of Yod is heavy — the temperature and weight the letter leaves in the body.
Earth — the consciousness
Yod carries the consciousness of Actions of the vision of splendour / Virgo.

The path of I (e) runs between Harmony (6) and Love (4).
It walks the path between Tiphereth (Harmony / Beauty) and Chesed (Love / Mercy). The chakra gives the letter its place in the body; the Tree gives it its place in the cosmos.
